Rias Bajas – golden beaches and intimate coves
Experience the beautiful, fjord-like Galician Coastline as we cruise the great Estuaries of the Rias Bajas, with their wide choice of marinas and open cruising ground.
Southernmost is the Vigo Estuary where we will visit some of the white sandy beaches and remote inlets of the Cies Islands, which together with the islands of Ons, Salvora and Cortegada, make up the National Park of the Atlantic Islands. We will also visit Vigo, the biggest Galician city as well as charming Baiona and popular Panxon. Not to mention a few cold beers at idyllic anchorages in between!
In the north we will sail the smallest of the Rias Bajas, the Ria de Pontevedra, with Sanxenxo’s welcoming and modern facilities, as well as Pontevedra - the provincial capital. Half way between Sanxenxo and Vigo is Marin – famed for its military naval academy.
Finally the Ria Arousa offers plenty of relaxing cruising ground, not to mention the seafood culture for which Galicia is famed!
