Oboe D’Amore is owned and skippered by Nigel, an experienced RYA Yachtmaster and Cruising Instructor with several thousand sea miles to his name. Nigel operates Oboe D’Amore as a VAT registered sole trader.
Oboe D’Amore is Nigel’s second boat. She is brand new, launched in February 2008 at La Rochelle, France and brought up to the required levels of safety (currently MCA Cat.2) for commercial use, at her home port of Southampton on the south coast of England.
Retiring early from the City, Nigel has indulged his passion for sailing by exploring the best cruising grounds in Europe and the Caribbean. He plans to go further afield before too long and to circumnavigate the globe but that is another story!
Cooking is another of Nigel’s passions, so dining aboard Oboe D’Amore is an important part of the holiday experience! Local produce, crisp white wines … and I hope you get a feel for what we are about.
Nigel is in no doubt that sailing should be done in the company of friends, old and new.
